BLAST is an acronym for Basic Local Alignment Search Tool and refers to a suite of programs used to generate alignments between a nucleotide or protein sequence, referred to as a “query” and nucleotide or protein sequences within a database, referred to as “subject” sequences.

The FASTA format is a text-based format for representing either nucleotide sequences or amino acid (protein) sequences.

টার্গর প্রেসার (Turgor Pressure) হলো একটি কোষের ভেতরে প্লাজমা ঝিল্লি (plasma membrane) কোষ প্রাচীরের (cell wall) উপর যে বল প্রয়োগ করে, তাকে বোঝায়। এটি মূলত কোষের ভেতরে পানির চাপ যা কোষ প্রাচীরের বিরুদ্ধে কাজ করে এবং কোষকে দৃঢ়তা প্রদান করে। এটিকে হাইড্রোস্ট্যাটিক চাপও বলা হয়। 

The Philadelphia chromosome is an abnormal chromosome 22 that results from a specific translocation (swap of genetic material) between chromosomes 9 and 22. This translocation creates a fusion gene called BCR-ABL1, which is strongly linked to the development of certain types of leukemia, including chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) and some cases of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL).
